Hello, my name is Oluwatobi (Loba) Agboola, a Nigerian economist, researcher and writer, committed to advancing technology-driven economic development across Africa. I do this through economic and policy research, advocating for policy reform and designing practical solutions based on existing digital technology.
I currently serve as a Research Assistant at the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA), where I support research on digitalisation, trade, poverty and development. Alongside this, I run New Systems Design Studio, an initiative focused on designing and promoting practical technology solutions to improve the lives of people around us.
My writing has been published in The Republic and Tech Policy Advisory, where I examine issues around digital inequality, technology regulation, artificial intelligence for development, and African geoeconomics.
